When you arrive at an EVPassport EV charger, simply scan the QR code on the front of the unit. As a driver, you do not need any specific mobile app, account, or membership to utilize a public charger. Payment options include Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards.
EVPassport Level 2 chargers are compatible with all vehicle manufacturers. Tesla vehicles require a J1772 to Tesla connector adapter.
EVPassport DC Fast chargers are also compatible with all vehicle manufacturers. Tesla vehicles may require a CCS to Tesla connector adapter.
No app or account is ever required to use an EVPassport charger, now or in the future. Simply scan the QR code and depending on your device, either an App Clip, Instant App, or mobile site will display. Using your preferred payment method, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or your credit card, is always an option.
If you choose to download the app, we are honored by your belief in our streamlined experience, and you can find it for iPhone here and for Android over here.
When a charging session is started, we store your payment information securely for processing. Once a charging session ends, the final amount is processed. We do not hold pre-authorization funds.

Great question! At the beginning of every month, EVPassport automatically sends an earnings email for the previous month. At that point, we also initiate a payout to your specified bank account.
